Missions

Here at Fairview, we put our motto “Love God, Love People” into action. No matter the location, we have people that want to serve. We have mission opportunities across the world and the street. Our members support missions faithfully through giving and volunteering their time. If you would like more information on any trips, please call the church office at 662-328-2924.

Reach Out

The Lord instructed His disciples to go to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the end of the earth to proclaim His Gospel. He still calls us to go and this means Fairview Baptist Church has a responsibility that extends from our own neighborhood to the nations around the world.

We fulfill this obligation locally through efforts such as block parties and backyard Bible clubs and studies. Extending beyond our local community of Columbus and the Golden Triangle region, we support and maintain missions and missionaries throughout the world and send teams on a regular basis to locations such as Guatemala, Haiti/Dominican Republic, England and various regions and nations in Africa and East Asia, to name a few. You can follow our active mission teams and get the latest updates directly from the field through our missions blog, theviewonmission.org (click here).

God also calls us to be hands and feet of Christ in showing love and compassion to those in need. Through our crisis team and other outreach ministries, we work in concert with local agencies to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of those enduring hardships in our community.

We strive as a church family to live out the simple command to Love God and Love people through our missions and outreach ministries.

Disaster Relief

Fairview Baptist Church organizes disaster relief teams as disasters happen locally and nationally. The teams have traveled throughout the South and Southeast responding to natural disasters such as hurricanes, flooding and tornadoes.
